The Transmission organization is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining the infrastructure that delivers electricity across Duke Energy's service territory. Project Management Interns may support projects involving transmission lines, substations, system upgrades, and reliability improvements.
Interns gain exposure to large‑scale infrastructure projects that help ensure safe and reliable service for millions of customers.
The CCP organization supports Duke Energy's coal ash excavation and closure projects, which are a key part of the company's environmental commitment and sustainability strategy. Project Management Interns may assist with project coordination and administrative activities at excavation sites, including preparing environmental compliance documentation, maintaining project schedules, tracking project progress, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting overall project execution.
This role provides firsthand experience supporting large‑scale environmental remediation and construction projects.
