Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Project Management Intern for Summer 2027 in St. Louis, MO. The program offers mentorship, networking, and hands-on projects aligned with business priorities, helping you build skills and professional networks.

You will join the Hardware Security Module Engineering team, working on secure cryptographic platforms and cross-functional collaboration. Eligible students gain real-world experience while pursuing a CS degree.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with an anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Exposure to Agile software development methodologies, including understanding of user stories, features, and sprint-based delivery practices.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools through coursework, projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in academic, professional, or extracurricular projects, with the ability to drive tasks through completion.
• Strong self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Hardware Security Module Engineering (HSME) is a high-performing, self-organizing team that delivers secure, resilient, and scalable cryptographic platforms that protect Mastercard's most critical payment and security services.

We provide foundational HSM, key management, and cryptographic capabilities that enable application teams to build, operate, and innovate securely on a global scale.

Base Salary: $25-30/hr
