HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

The Project Management Coordinator key responsibilities will be to work with project managers and field crews to provide project support and ensure that projects are being completed accurately and in a timely manner. This position will be hands-on in the various phases of assigned projects, requiring a high level of skill in time management and multi-tasking. Coordination with internal departments, customers, and outside agencies with extreme attention to detail is essential to be successful in this role.


WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DO

  1. Travel as needed to visit job sites throughout the county.
  2. Review job packs and confirm upcoming jobs are cleared, and ready for construction.
  3. Mark out & submit USA tickets and site survey requests.
  4. Notify relevant government agencies regarding applicable planned work.
  5. Assist with inventory and deliveries.
  6. Assist with tracking of materials, subcontractors, and expenses.
  7. Gather close out documentation from the field, compile and submit as-builts/completion packs to clients.
  8. Support close out documents including maps, plans, diagrams and, drawings.
  9. Coordinate necessary subcontractor services (traffic control, cranes, saw cutters, pavers, etc.), laydown yards, approved dump sites, etc. needed for jobs.
  10. Support pre-construction activities including all dependencies to setup jobs for timely construction start.
  11. Review job packs and confirm upcoming jobs are cleared, and ready for construction.
  12. Review and interpret construction drawings and crew instructions.
  13. Communicate with clients, government agencies, customers, and all internal departments involved with projects regarding project plan and schedule adherence.
  14. Coordinate and schedule work based off of project management directions.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  1. The ability to work weekends and overtime on an as needed basis.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Ability to quickly learn and utilize HCSS Heavy Job Field Management Software.
  4. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  1. Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  3. Preferred: 1-2 years of Construction Administration or related experience, preferably in the construction utility industry.

COMPETITIVE PACKAGE

The pay range for the Project Management Coordinator in San Jose, CA is $32.00 to $36.00 per hour.

This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.

  1. Primarily office environment with periodic site visits and/or site walk downs.
  2. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  5. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, climbing.
