Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Project Logistics Control Tower Supervisor in Houston, TX to lead a team responsible for coordinating complex project cargo moves from start to finish. You will partner with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to drive service quality, profitable operations, and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will coach and develop the team, optimize processes, and ensure exceptional execution across the shipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of freight forwarding experience, preferably within Project Logistics or complex transportation environments.
• 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within freight forwarding operations.
• Strong ocean freight experience; Project Logistics and EPC project exposure are highly preferred.

What we would like you to bring

We are looking for a customer-focused logistics professional who combines strong freight forwarding expertise with effective leadership and problem-solving skills.

• 5+ years of freight forwarding experience, preferably within Project Logistics or complex transportation environments.
• 2+ years of previous supervisory, lead, or management experience within freight forwarding operations.
• Strong ocean freight experience; Project Logistics and EPC project exposure are highly preferred.
• Experience managing customer relationships, escalations, and operational performance.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding operations, pricing, shipment execution, and supplier coordination.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities effectively.
