Overview

The Project Leader is accountable for medium‑size PPL Electric Utilities transmission and distribution projects. The Project Manager is accountable for large capital projects across transmission, distribution and substation.

Responsibilities

• Project Leader: Serve as primary customer‑facing contact, collaborate with Economic Development and Engineering to define scope and deliverables, manage scope, schedule, cost and quality, develop project plans, identify risks, manage change, conduct status meetings, manage communications and reports, oversee financial aspects, participate in contracting decisions, ensure compliance with policies.
• Project Manager: Lead a portfolio of projects ranging from $1M‑$100M, manage project budgets and schedules, enforce PM methodology, coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage contractor relationships, handle project communications and gate reviews, maintain project documentation, manage cash flow and invoicing, oversee risk and mitigation, mentor team members, support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Project Leader: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related field (or equivalent experience); 3‑5 years project management or construction experience; strong budgeting, cost control, reporting, and communication skills.
• Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years project management experience or Master’s with 2+ years, or 8+ years related experience; deep knowledge of PMBOK, budgeting, cost control, scheduling and reporting; strong written and oral communication; ability to lead and mentor staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management certification.
• Experience with electric utilities equipment, processes, and customer interface.
• Strong written, oral, presentation and organizational skills; demonstrated initiative, leadership, and risk assessment abilities.
