Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Project Leader for an on-site role in Ashburn, Virginia. You will support overall strategy, drive deliverables, and lead junior project leadership, field-superintendents and trades personnel toward successful, profitable project completion in a rapidly expanding datacenter program.

Responsibilities include coordinating kick-off meetings, reviewing progress, and preparing submittals and change orders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction related to Telecommunications & Security Systems.
• CPM Scheduling experience with General Contractor schedules.
• 4+ years in Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher-Education, or Information Transit projects.

• Proficient understanding of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, and DAS.
• Lead design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Assist project Superintendent and Engineering with project documentation, layout, and field office support.
• Coordinate and run project kick-off meetings and regular project reviews.
• Research and compile submittals, identify/pricing change orders, and prepare estimates.

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Project Leader to a leadership position. They will be responsible for supporting the overall strategy, execution of deliverables, project completion & profitable outcomes. This is a direct placement role on-site at Ashburn, Virginia. The Project Leader is expected to provide overall development, training & leadership to Junior Project Leadership, Field-Superintendents & Trades personnel as it relates to the strategic planning, overall implementation & ownership of project completion. This is a great opportunity to join rapidly expanding datacenter work in the NOVA region.

Responsibilities for the Project Leader:

• Proficient understanding and knowledge of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, along with DAS.
• Leading the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Assisting the project Superintendent and Engineering in the preparation of project documentation requirements, project layout, and field office support.
• Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project (KPR) reviews.
• Researching and compiling submittals, identifying/pricing change orders and preparing estimates for projects.

Required Qualifications for the Project Leader:

• 5+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems.
• Ability to utilize software including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office.
• No clearance required but ability to obtain.

Compensation for the Project Leader:

• Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
