Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Project Leader to drive design across water infrastructure projects from outline through handover. You will coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical and process disciplines, BIM modelers and technical specialists, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

You will also mentor junior team members and build strong client relationships, promoting a one-team approach across the joint venture with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in engineering is required.
• Civil, mechanical, process and electrical disciplines are relevant.
• Incorporated member of engineering institution is required.
• Outline and detailed design experience in water or wastewater projects is required.
• Knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Job description

Working as part of a "project triangle" alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure that technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.

• Leading the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from the initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning, and handover
• Coordinating the project team including civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by each framework and industry specifications
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate
• Building positive relationships with the clients' project, operational and technical assurance teams and promote a "one-team" approach

What you’ll need

This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
