Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Operations Project Leader to drive global strategic operations for growing segments within the Power Tools business in Europe. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape manufacturing strategies, and ensure scalable sourcing and footprint decisions to support long-term category growth.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in operations or manufacturing project management, strong financial analysis skills (Make vs Buy, costing, CapEx), and proven ability to communicate

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
Graduate studies in business areas preferred.
Formal project management training preferred.
10+ years of project management in operations or manufacturing.
Experience with financial analysis (Make vs Buy, costing, CapEx).
Experience with NPD, sourcing, forecasting, inventory planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication in an executive setting.

The Operations Project Leader is responsible for leading global strategic operations for growing segments within the Power Tools business. The ideal candidate will be a b leader with proven -big picture- strategic vision, problem solving and change management experience.

Job Responsibilities

Set manufacturing strategies for the European market to support the global growth of the business.
Own the strategy and perform make vs make vs buy analysis to determine ideal manufacturing locations.
Determine optimal manufacturing footprint and capability in Europe to support long-term category growth.
Work cross-functionally to ensure product categories have a sustainable and scalable sourcing strategy, including dual-sourcing analysis.
Coordinate across the supply chain to develop the capability to service end users efficiently and cleanly through distribution and logistics.
Consistently visualize the entire scope of a project with very little guidance.
Communicate, both verbally and written, to ensure all groups are working toward the goal of timely project completion. Regularly make presentations of project status for various levels of the organization.
Quickly, effectively, and candidly frame up and upscale business risks/opportunities to senior leadership. Converge solutions, options, and plans, given general direction, for leadership discussion in a relevant timeframe.
Regularly schedule, develop agendas, facilitate, and present project status and document project meetings. Vital to be extremely organized and detailed-oriented.
Possess a high sense of urgency and deliver information in a timely manner.
Maintain a strategic cross-functional mindset and understand how team decisions will impact the entire organization.

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent years of directly related experience in Operations roles.
Graduate studies preferred in business areas such as Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational Studies.
Formal project management training preferred.
Proven experience successfully managing medium to high complexity projects.
Minimum 10 years of experience in project management of operations or manufacturing experience. Proven experience with operations financial analysis and models (i.e. Make vs Buy, standard costing, CapEx).
Operations experience with NPD, sourcing, forecasting, and inventory planning is a b plus.

Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
Results driven and deadline oriented. Ability to manage projects to aggressive schedules and results.
Ability to handle fast paced and agile culture. Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
Experience with international work, factories, and teams.
Periodic travel (domestic and international) may be required up to 50%.
