Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across departments, ensuring timely delivery of marketing campaigns and programs. This role requires strong PM skills, agile experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a matrixed environment.

You will develop detailed plans, coordinate stakeholders, and drive continuous process improvements while maintaining clarity and accountability at key milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Marketing campaign process experience (agency experience also welcomed).
• Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Excellent project management skills (PMP or other program management certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Extremely organized and highly motivated.
• Superb written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with different departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Communicate with all stakeholders, while leading a virtual project team.
• Manage projects through all stages of the project life cycle, including scoping, planning, budgeting, timeline development, and delivery.
• Manage a consistent process from briefing to execution by connecting teams and ensuring stakeholder participation and accountability at the appropriate stage gate(s).
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
• Provide proactive communication and suggestions for process improvement.
• Manage, track and communicate calendars to support the on-time delivery of marketing programs, campaigns and other initiatives.
• Manages ambiguity and consistently seeks to drive clarity amongst project stakeholders.
• Actively work to anticipate and dismantle roadblocks, escalating issues to appropriate partners in a timely manner.
• Identify and evaluate risks associated with projects.
