Purpose of Position

The job of the Lead Environment Artist I is to run assigned projects from start to completion. Produce Jira based tickets with tasks for 2D and 3D teams assigning budgets and schedules for each task. Review and approve assigned work via Jira system once work is completed. Configuration management of all files needed to produce a visual database. Compile and output visual databases.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity of the functional, allocated, and product baselines and controlled data.
  • maintain configuration management for all data needed to produce a visual database.
  • Responsible for visual database readiness. Ensures all budgets and schedules are met and reports weekly to Environment Artist Team Lead with any risks.
  • Works with Environment Artist Supervisor to mitigate risks to budgets and schedules.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving all Jira tickets for assigned projects. Includes ensuring all 2D and 3D data is completed and readiness for output of the visual database.
  • Understand basic concepts and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management.
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
  • Accountable for the Readiness of the visual database project assigned.
  • Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Ten years of relatable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience
  • Three (3) years' experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (includes Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). A working knowledge of UNIX, Jira, Perforce, and 3D software (3DS Max/Presagis Creator). Understands FAA Part 60 requirements. Able to identify Markings, lighting, and other airfield features. Ability to compile and output visual database with FSS tools.
