Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to lead and support electrical design efforts across a wide range of building types. This role includes technical design, team leadership, client interaction, and project execution from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in the MEP industry and be passionate about delivering high-quality, code-compliant designs that align with project goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding systems (low and medium voltage) for both new and renovated buildings.
Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and system layout documentation.
Lead and supervise electrical design teams, assigning tasks based on skillset and project requirements.
Coordinate with utility companies, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Conduct field/site visits to validate design implementation and gather as-built data.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
Participate in client meetings, manage project timelines, and support contract negotiations.
Assist with mentoring junior staff, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support recruitment efforts.
Contribute to the preparation of proposals and participate in the QA/QC review process.
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 1 year of electrical design or relevant engineering experience
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and applicable electrical system modeling software
MEP industry experience
Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience in sustainable design and/or LEED projects
Familiarity with Coordination Studies and Arc Fault Study Calculations
Salary: $125K–$140K base + performance bonuses
