Overview:
A seasoned Survey & GIS Project Manager with over a decade of experience delivering high-precision geospatial and land surveying projects. Holds an active PLS license (Ohio PS), with a deep understanding of project coordination, client management, and the latest in survey technology. Adept at managing both field and office operations, ensuring quality deliverables, client satisfaction, and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage survey and GIS projects from proposal through execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Serve as the primary liaison with clients, overseeing all project phases and ensuring clear communication of scope and progress.
Develop and review project proposals, contracts, and financial plans to align with both client needs and organizational goals.
Conduct and supervise field surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and safety compliance.
Manage scheduling, resourcing, and coordination across internal teams and external partners.
Oversee the production and quality assurance of survey maps, GIS data, and technical documentation.
Provide mentorship and guidance to technical staff, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
Maintain detailed and accurate project records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and various surveying instruments (GPS, total stations, data collectors).
Strong working knowledge of geospatial data analysis, land records, topographic mapping, and legal boundary assessments.
Familiar with project management tools and workflow systems.
Qualifications:
Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Ohio PS license.
5+ years managing surveying and GIS projects, including staff supervision and client interaction.
Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective coordination with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience resolving complex project issues with strategic and analytical thinking.
Compensation:
$75,000-$95,000 per year
