Arcadis is seeking a senior process engineer to drive the design and optimization of industrial water and wastewater treatment solutions within the IWTO portfolio. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, manage design deliverables, and contribute to field testing and commissioning efforts.

This hybrid role offers opportunities across the United States with occasional international assignments and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in industrial water/wastewater.
• Proficiency in engineering calculations using Excel and Mathcad.
• Experience designing water and wastewater systems and preparing construction documents.
• Field experience including data gathering, QA, inspections, and treatability testing.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Serve as process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects.
• Apply treatment processes including physical/chemical treatment, biological treatment, membrane processes, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation and crystallization.
• Mentor and guide junior staff in engineering calculations and drawings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement complex treatment solutions.
• Support projects from study through design, construction, startup, and O&M.
• Develop process design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Perform field work: surveys, QA inspections, bench- and pilot-scale testing.
• Assist with system commissioning and startup including staff training.
• Prepare client presentations and participate in professional meetings.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits and meetings.

Key requirements

• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineers
• Field experience including data gathering, QA, inspections, and treatability testing
• Strong communication skills for client presentations and reports
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Professional engineer (PE) license in one or more states (preferred)
