Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Santa Barbara, CA to lead geotechnical analysis, design, and client interfaces on small- and large-scale projects.

You will supervise staff engineers, coordinate field investigations, and prepare reports, proposals, and construction documents while delivering innovative, practical solutions. PE licensure and 6+ years of geotechnical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with PE licensure.
• 6+ years of geotechnical experience; 3+ years field/investigation experience.
• Experience in preparing technical reports, specifications, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex geotechnical analyses and design of piles and underpinning.
• Prepare proposals, reports, construction documents, and related correspondence.
• Supervise field investigations and construction observation.
• Manage multiple projects with budgets and schedules; prepare progress reports and invoices.
• Support business development and client coordination.
