Project Geologist, Engineer or Scientist – Soil Sampling (Loveland, CO – Office/Field)

About the Role

This position supports large portfolio projects involving soil and groundwater sampling, remediation, and environmental assessments. It involves a combination of fieldwork, office tasks, and remote work, primarily supporting our client, a major oil/gas operator in Colorado. The role requires local candidates or those willing to relocate, with interaction with clients and regulators, and offers significant growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform geological and scientific computations, analysis, report writing, and conceptual site modeling.
  • Plan and lead multiple projects, oversee technicians and staff, and ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Lead complex environmental sampling events, oversee drilling activities, and maintain accurate logs.
  • Develop project documentation, interpret data, and create graphical and written reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and communicate project progress to clients.
  • Assist in developing cost proposals and support team outreach and professional development.
  • Maintain safety practices and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Valid driver’s license, successful background checks, and drug testing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience, with drilling oversight experience preferred.
  • Professional Geologist or Engineer license is a plus.
  • Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ArcGIS.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Physical ability for outdoor field work and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel locally and overnight as needed.
