Job summary

A leading financial services provider in the United States is looking for a candidate to support strategic business operations through financial data analysis. This role involves ensuring project setup meets reporting needs, developing annual operating plans, and providing financial support to minimize risks. Candidates should have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, ideally with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program finance/related experience; 6+ years can substitute degree.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis and budgeting forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Government contracts, including FFP, Cost Reimbursable, T&M.

Responsibilities

  • Support project financial analysis and perform cost performance tracking.
  • Provide financial decision support to stakeholders and prepare monthly reviews.
  • Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan.

Job description

The successful candidate will support a strategic business operation (SBU) and will be responsible analyzing financial data in support of project cost and schedule status. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is important, as well as being able to perform responsibilities with minimal direction and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure project setup within JAMIS meets the need of both the company and the contract's reporting needs.
  • Provide financial decision support to stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing return of limited resources.
  • Assist in development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Monthly financial reviews such as: PSRs, Transactional Details, and Proactively work with Program Management in supporting the programs’ financial performance and requirements
  • Monthly/Quarterly rolling forecasts
  • EAC Prep and ongoing maintenance (working with Ops)
  • Financial Analysis such as: Tracking, monitoring, and analyzing cost performance on programs.
  • Must understand purpose of segregation of costs into CLINs and cost elements
  • Financial monthly close experience (program focused) for Labor Accruals, Sub Accruals, Other Vendor Accruals, and Revenue Recognition
  • Weekly/Monthly Cost Review to provide weekly and monthly reporting to Operations. Prepare and lead monthly financial operations reviews.
  • Knowledge of Indirect Pool Structures, including, but not limited to PMO rates, Fringe rates, Overhead rates, and G&A rates
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of program finance/related experience, 6+ years can substitute degree.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting forecasting.
  • MS Excel experience required.
  • Experience with GovCon ERP’s and project structures
  • Ability to understand Government contracts, with experience in FFP, Cost Reimbursable, T&M type contracts
  • Construction, BOS and O&M knowledge in a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements
  • Work environment is a typical office setting.
  • Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
  • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
