Job summary

AGAR, based in Cincinnati, seeks a Budget Manager & Estimator (Project Finance Coordinator) to drive fast, accurate project budgets from bids through closeout. You will work with Account, Creative, and Production teams, sourcing vendors and tracking spend to ensure profitability.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on vendor management, advanced Excel skills, and experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems, ready to scale with AGAR’s project-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build accurate budget estimates quickly, often with incomplete information.
• Experience with vendor sourcing, quotes, negotiating terms, and cost accountability.
• Strong budgeting, job costing, reconciliations, and financial reporting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate project budget estimates quickly from briefs, quotes, and data.
• Source and manage vendors, including quote comparisons and terms.
• Track spend against budget, monitor costs and profitability, report variances.
• Communicate budgets and constraints clearly to clients and teams.
• Forecast resource needs and margins; support SOWs and change orders.
• Lead reconciliations, closeouts, and data quality across systems.
• Maintain vendor rate databases and reporting templates for continuous improvement.
• Represent AGAR’s vision in meetings and process improvements.
