Project Finance Controller (Remote)

We are looking for a Project Finance Controller to join our Energy, Environment & Infrastructure (EEI) group. Responsibilities include project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and reporting. You will have the opportunity to interface with Program Managers to share financial results and identify future expectations.

This is a remote working position; however, candidates must be willing to work west coast hours.

What You Will Do

1. Work side-by-side with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on project teams.
2. Interface and build collaborative relationships with Departments across ICF, such as Contracts, Pricing, Accounting, Project Management, and Business Unit Leads.
3. Communicate directly with management regarding financial results and ensure project managers and other senior personnel are aware of risks and opportunities identified during project financial reviews.
4. Review and complete timely and accurate project monthly revenue recognition procedures, in accordance with GAAP and ICF policies.
5. Prepare and analyze project-based forecasting, including Estimate-At-Complete (EAC) and Estimate-To-Complete (ETC) analyses.
6. Set up projects in ERP for all contract types (Cost-plus, T&M, and Fixed Price) in accordance with internal SOX policies and procedures.
7. Maintain ERP project information (i.e., contract/funding values, period of performance, business metrics, project labor categories, etc.) and ensure data quality.
8. Ensure timely invoice processing. Collaborate with billing specialists; review and approve invoices; follow up on collections; analyze unbilled work in progress (WIP).
9. Manage project subcontractor invoices, including approvals; prepare submissions to AP; maintain financial data for semi-annual subcontractor reporting (SF 294).
10. Prepare and submit project monthly progress reports, financial dashboards, or other reports as required.
11. Review and monitor project funding and expenditures for the contract's 75% Limitation of Funds notification.
12. Provide financial information (e.g., fee retention, final invoice review) and related documentation to the ICF closeout department.

What You Will Bring With You

• 2+ years of experience in Project Finance or a related role.
• Experience in government and/or commercial contracting, including service type T&M and/or fixed-price contracts.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos reports.
• Willing to work west coast hours.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, or related discipline.

Pay Range

The pay range for this full-time position is $67,020.00 - $113,934.00, based on factors like experience, skills, location, and certifications.
