Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Project Analyst in Chicago to provide financial guidance for project teams, focusing on budgets, profitability, cash flow, and contract compliance. You will act as the primary financial advisor through the project lifecycle, ensuring successful contracting, compensation, and payment terms.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with project accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of related experience required.
• Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills needed.
• Familiarity with GAAP and project accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial aspects across the project lifecycle.
• Model gross margin scenarios and provide revenue/cash recommendations.
• Ensure PM system budgets, forecasts and expenditures align with contracts.
• Review invoices and payments per client terms and subcontracting needs.
• Collaborate with project manager to resolve billing and revenue discrepancies.
• Generate reports to identify potential cost overruns and variances.
• Forecast EAC and monitor cost changes and change orders.
