Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst to support project accounting and finance tasks on large-scale projects. The role emphasizes cost control, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable across multi-million to multi-billion initiatives.

The position involves month-end close, financial reporting preparation for project management, and learning HR/payroll workflows, purchasing, and billing processes. Some travel/relocation may be required, with strong Excel skills highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent degree.
• 0-2 years' financial/data analysis experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance for projects.
• Assist with month-end close and preparing a financial reporting package for project management.
• Learn payroll, HR process workflow, and systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Understand purchasing, invoicing, and internal controls; maintain purchasing workflow.
• Understand accounts payable workflow and troubleshoot payment or vendor issues.
• Support intercompany and client billing processes and timely, accurate documentation.
