Premier Research is seeking a Project Finance Analyst to join our Clinical R&D-Finance team. You will help biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma companies transform life-changing ideas into new medicines, devices, and diagnostics, contributing to saving and improving lives.

The role involves reviewing contract payment schedules, calculating monthly revenue, assisting project managers with profitability analyses, and supporting cash flow planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum of one year related experience in accounting or finance position within a CRO required.
• Experience with a revenue recognition system.
• Highly detail oriented with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reviews contract payments schedules and prepares monthly fee-for-service and pass-through invoices for clients.
• Analyzes contracts for budgeting, hours, and setup in financial systems.
• Calculates monthly contract revenue for assigned projects.
• Assists Project Managers with monthly profitability analyses and reports.
• Attends project meetings and analyzes monthly backlog for assigned projects.
• Analyzes change orders for incorporation into original contracts.
• Prepares cash flow analysis for payment schedules.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviews contract payments schedules and prepares monthly fee for service and pass-through invoices to send to Client for assigned projects
• Analyzes contract including, but not limited to budget and hours for appropriate setup in financial system and creation of internal tracking worksheets
• Calculates monthly contract revenue for assigned projects
• Assist Project Managers with analyzing monthly reports for tracking project profitability
• Attends all project related meetings regarding assigned projects
• Calculates monthly backlog for assigned projects
• Assists managers (Project and Finance) and core team member with questions, concerns and analyses of projects as requested
• Analyzes change orders for incorporation into original contract
• Prepares cash flow and analysis for creation of payment schedules
• All other tasks as assigned

What We Are Searching For

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum of one year related experience in accounting or finance position within a CRO required
• Experience with a revenue recognition system
• Highly detail oriented
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Excel

Premier Research is dedicated to providing compensation that is fair and competitive with market standards. The annualized minimum base pay for this role is $55,000.00 USD. The actual salary will be influenced based on a variety of factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
