Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation is seeking an expeditor for the Sentinel Project based at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. You will manage expediting activities, ensuring timely approvals, materials, and equipment to meet project needs, while handling PEX & AEX assignments and supplier visits as needed.

Relocation assistance is provided. Successful candidates will pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks as part of Bechtel's hiring process.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 1-2 years experience, or 5-6 years relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and government contracts.
• Strong written and oral communication with project teams and government officials.
• Experienced in purchase orders and subcontracts administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of scheduling during design and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase orders/subcontracts to support project needs.
• Participate in weekly scheduling meetings and provide updates.
• Expedite internal engineering for timely approvals.
• Expedite suppliers for engineering data, materials, and shipments.
• Meet regularly with engineering and suppliers to review issues.
• Update DSC and Supplier Performance Database promptly.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other departments.
• Assess supplier schedules to ensure alignment with site needs.
• Obtain supplier order copies and oversee sub-supplier expediting.
• Guide PEXs and support Expediting Manager.
• Assist with UOS/Ds issues resolution.
• Coordinate deliveries with Material Mgmt and T&L.
• Coordinate with shipping and site security for on-site receipt.
• Build relationships with suppliers and project teams.
• Deploy as Procurement Representative and place orders per card procedures.
