POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Executive plays a key role in growing KFI's medical & clean manufacturing division. Reporting to the Director, MCM, the candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and owner advocate, focusing on understanding the owner's needs. They will approach challenges pragmatically and creatively, with demonstrated expertise in infrastructure design and construction for healthcare, medical, life sciences, and pharmaceutical facilities.

The candidate should be collaborative, capable of integrating diverse ideas into recommendations, and self-directed while thriving in a consultative environment. They will lead large, complex projects from concept to completion, including startup, check-out, and commissioning, ensuring client goals are met.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Project Executive on major projects or clients, collaborating with Project Managers and engaging with clients.
  • Supporting business development through client meetings, opportunity scoping, proposal writing, and contract negotiations.
  • Providing technical and engineering expertise focused on project development and management.
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction through clear communication and expectation management.
  • Managing projects, tracking KPIs, and contributing to QA/QC processes.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment through proactive communication.
  • Identifying opportunities for diversification aligned with department goals.
  • Supporting project development with site investigations and technical reviews.
  • Contributing to proposals, presentations, and marketing activities to build project backlog.
  • Serving as Project Manager when needed, engaging in client meetings, and developing project estimates.
  • Mentoring staff and supporting their growth.
  • Understanding client P&L statements and preparing for client visits and business development activities.
  • Providing work direction to team members and participating in professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Healthcare Management, or related fields.
  • 10-15+ years of technical engineering, project management, and business development experience in design-bid-build, construction, or consulting environments.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure design and construction for healthcare, medical, life sciences, or pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Strong technical skills, project management capabilities, and construction experience.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office.
  • People management and effective meeting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Business acumen and ability to engage with senior leaders and clients.
  • Collaborative, self-directed, adaptable, and professional in representation.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or willingness to pursue.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Some work at construction sites or involving lifting/moving equipment.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically.

SALARY RANGE

$146,000 - $175,000, based on qualifications and experience. Position is eligible for a variable pay plan.
