Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain successful customer relationships and ensure project commitments are met.

• Oversee contract administration, including terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments.
• Set project objectives, monitor budgets and costs to ensure profitability.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Executive II that will provide management for large projects, leading the project team and ensuring key and successful customer relations, as well as assist operating group with winning work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain successful customer/community relationships by conducting key customer service visits throughout the project, from pre-construction client surveys to close-out, ensuring project commitments are met, and issues are resolved
• Preview proposals before submission and participate in RFP process
• Support business development initiatives in establishing and building on client relationships
• Oversight and accountability for large project(s) by managing contract administration including, but not limited to: terms, change requests, invoices and progress payments, etc.
• Establish and implement project objective and procedures along with maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing, ensuring delivery of a profitable project
• Provide leadership to project team and review work of Senior PM and PM assigned to project
• Mentor and manage team members, establishing and fostering team environment along with develop team members for future career consideration and training opportunities
• Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or
• Minimum 12 years prior experience in construction management overseeing large projects ($20M+)
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Current driver's license
• Shown ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects along with detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
• Shown positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $194,500 - $291,800 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
