Job description

The opportunity

Hospitals take too long and cost too much to build, and everyone in healthcare knows it. M3 is changing that. We are a California multi-trade builder that also manufactures prefabricated wall panels with in-wall MEP, multi-trade overhead racks, volumetric pods and a standardized kit of parts, delivered by the same team that installs them. We are driving toward healthcare projects that are 30% faster and 30% lower in cost.

We are hiring a Project Executive to own the customer, the project and the P&L from design through manufacturing, field installation and closeout. You will help prove a new way to deliver healthcare in California and shape the playbook other projects follow.

Who we are:

Mark III is a full-service construction company comprised of three complementary business units: M3 MEP, M3 Service, and M3 Components. We support projects from initial concept through long-term maintenance, with specialized expertise in healthcare, higher education, industrial, life science, and technology markets.

Our integrated, big-picture approach allows us to self-perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, process piping, prefabrication, and MEP design. By consolidating these services under one organization, clients benefit from reduced profit layers, minimized scope gaps, and simplified project schedules—working with a single, accountable partner rather than multiple consultants and subcontractors.

Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Mark III operates throughout California and Nevada. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility serves as a centralized hub supporting five core trades: HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing, electrical, and metal-stud framing. To support our continued growth, we will be relocating from our current combined 62,000 square feet of office and operational space to a new 340,000-square-foot headquarters at 2031 Optisolar Lane, with the move planned for completion by October 19th 2026.

What you will own
  • Customer and owner relationships. Be the senior face of M3 to health systems, general contractors, architects and engineers. Win repeat work and expand into new healthcare programs through trust and performance.
  • Project and program delivery. Lead project teams and own scope, schedule, budget, change orders and financial performance across manufactured components and MEP prefab, with clear P&L targets.
  • Design-to-factory-to-field integration. Connect design, preconstruction, estimating, purchasing, manufacturing and field teams so manufactured components and MEP scopes arrive coordinated, defect-free, on time and on budget.
  • Contracts and risk. Negotiate and manage IPD/IFOA agreements, master agreements, purchase orders, warranty and terms, and keep every project compliant with HCAI and current California Building Code requirements.
  • People and culture. Coach project managers, project engineers, modelers and manufacturing partners. Model a prevention-first safety culture and build a high-engagement team.
  • Growth and innovation. Bring field and customer insight into M3's productized offerings, support business development, trade shows and thought leadership, and champion lean, continuous improvement and OKRs.
Your first 90 days: look, listen, learn

You will spend your first months learning about our teams, our factory and our processes, meeting key customers, and shadowing active projects. By day 90 you will have a clear view of where we are strongest, where we can improve, and a plan for the projects and relationships you will lead.

What success looks like
  • Customers who call us first: repeat healthcare work and deeper relationships with owners and GC partners.
  • Projects that finish financially healthy, on schedule, safe and defect-free.
  • A team that is growing, engaged and stronger because of your coaching.
  • Manufactured components and MEP scopes aligned from design through installation.

  • Proven financial ownership of projects: budgets, change orders, forecasting and margin.
  • Experience with IPD/IFOA, PO and master agreement structures, warranty and risk management.
