Hedrick Brothers Construction is seeking a Project Executive in West Palm Beach to provide strategic leadership for multiple project teams, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery with maximum return. This senior role blends operations, business development, risk management, and team development across hospitality, multifamily and commercial sectors.

You will mentor Project Managers, oversee budgets, forecasts and performance, and lead pursuit strategies from opportunity to award.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of construction management experience; 12+ years preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead project teams to meet project goals using established management processes and company standards.
Oversee division performance, profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Present project updates during monthly Project Executive Reviews.
Analyze budgets, forecasts, proposals, and business trends to support decision-making.
Drive process improvements, identify risks, and champion company culture and values.
Support pursuit and proposal efforts for negotiated, design-build, CM, and bid projects.
Develop qualifications, presentations, and marketing materials.
Qualify leads, cultivate client and trade partner relationships, and collaborate with Preconstruction on project pursuits.
Participate in or lead pursuit strategies from opportunity identification through award.
Advise on contract negotiation, administration, and risk management in partnership with executive leadership, the CFO, and General Counsel.

The Opportunity

The Project Executive provides strategic leadership and oversight for multiple project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with maximum return. What You'll Do

Operational Leadership

Lead project teams to achieve project goals while following established management processes and company standards.

Support quality assurance and quality control efforts across projects.
Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers and their teams.
Conduct performance evaluations and oversee employee development.
Approve team time submissions and expense reports.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of construction management experience required; 12+ years preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Financial and operational expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and business development.
Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

This role involves both office and active construction site environments. Team members must be able to navigate jobsites, including uneven terrain, ladders, and scaffolding; work at a computer for extended periods; and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to safely operate in construction environments and effectively communicate on active jobsites.
