Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (PE, PMP, CCM, LEED) a plus.
• Experience leading commercial or infrastructure projects, preferably with a general contractor or construction management firm.
• Ability to work on-site in Chesterfield, VA.
• Strong leadership and team management across large cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and cost control to meet client objectives and budgets.
• Knowledge of risk management, safety regulations, quality assurance, and building codes.

Role Description The Project Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Chesterfield, VA, responsible for leading the planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Day-to-day, this role oversees project teams, ensures alignment with client objectives, manages budgets and schedules, and mitigates risks to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards. The Project Executive builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and timely decision‑making. This role provides strategic guidance on contracts, change management, and project delivery methods, while coaching and mentoring project managers and engineers. The Project Executive also supports business development by contributing to pursuits, proposals, and long-term client account strategies.
Qualifications

• Strong project leadership and team management skills, including experience guiding project managers and cross‑functional teams on large or complex construction projects.
• Proficiency in construction project planning, scheduling, and cost control, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and change orders effectively.
• Solid understanding of building and infrastructure construction processes, contract documents, and delivery methods (e.g., design‑build, CM‑at‑risk, lump sum).
• Demonstrated client relationship management skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present project updates, and resolve issues collaboratively.
• Knowledge of risk management, safety regulations, quality assurance, and compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
• Experience using construction management software and productivity tools (e.g., scheduling platforms, project management systems, document control tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
