ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Executive (PX), the incumbent is fully responsible for achieving project’s goals as set by ownership. This includes fully understanding the client’s expectations, developing a win strategy, and coordinating with the operations team. The PX will lead and manage a large, technically challenging, or multiple projects at a time. The incumbent will be responsible for reporting project metrics and risk factors to management. PXs are also responsible for providing service to the team at a level where mistakes pose a significant risk to Truebeck.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Enhance client relationships through award winning service, follow-up, and successful project completion.
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors, and continually instilling this philosophy in the project team.
  • Mentor and coach project team to ensure their skills and capabilities are being developed by establishing annual performance goals for each direct report.
  • Support Project Manager with maintaining a positive cash position on project.
  • Set and communicate direction to the team.
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing in the up-front set up of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction and the best subcontractors for the job.
  • Guide multiple jobs and teams operationally in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
  • Develop plans and measures to minimize and mitigate potential risks.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with the clients and architect.
  • Negotiate and draft contract terms with clients and communicate to project team.
  • Ensure that the project strategy is clearly defined and communicated.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of policies and procedures on projects.
  • Any other task or duty as assigned or required.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Provide expertise in specialized areas (LEED, BIM, Design/Build, etc.) and mentor other Truebeck employees.
  • Consistently pursue and obtain new work and other opportunities within the industry or with service groups.
  • Develop and expand key industry relationships by participating in industry events and groups.
  • Define and communicate team’s goals and performance standards and ensure that these goals and standards align with Truebeck’s goals.
  • Provide specific feedback, both positive and constructive, in a frequent and timely manner.
  • Identify needed talent and work with HR and other executives to recruit and secure new employees.
  • Show discretion while making decisions, effectively delegate, and coach.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science, or civil engineering.
  • 10 or more years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
  • Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
  • Has a broad range of construction management and/or construction engineering skills gained through a career with a commercial building contractor.
  • Provide expertise in specialized areas (LEED, BIM, Design/Build).
  • Able to work with minimal supervision on assignments that are broad and frequently require original and innovative approaches.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency and effectiveness in all phases of the construction discipline or in a specific industry within the construction sector.
  • Encourage and support entrepreneurial behaviors in others.
  • Inspire confidence and elevate team performance.

Range of base pay is $250,000 - $300,000

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent typically works in a construction environment where duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
