Job summary

Kovoro, a nationally ranked construction management firm with a Chicago office, is seeking a Project Executive to provide strategic oversight for 3-5 concurrent projects valued at $300M-$500M. You will act as the senior client relationship owner for healthcare and institutional clients.

You will resolve escalated issues, conduct monthly executive reviews with ownership teams and design partners, and mentor Senior Project Managers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with healthcare or institutional projects $100M+.
• Experience as Project Executive or Senior PM with multi-project oversight.
• Deep understanding of CM at-risk and integrated project delivery structures.
• Strong executive presence and client relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Procore; familiarity with Lean Construction and Target Value Design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for 3–5 concurrent projects totaling $300M–$500M.
• Serve as senior client relationship owner and resolve escalated issues.
• Conduct monthly executive project reviews with ownership teams and design partners.

Our client is a nationally ranked construction management firm with a Chicago office that has delivered some of the most recognizable healthcare, academic, and civic projects in the region. The firm operates predominantly in the CM at-risk and design-build delivery space, and its Chicago portfolio currently includes two active hospital expansions, a major university science building, and a $200M transit authority facility.

As Project Executive you will provide strategic oversight for 3-5 concurrent projects with an aggregate value of $300M-$500M. You will serve as the senior client relationship owner, resolve escalated project issues, conduct monthly executive project reviews with ownership teams and design partners, and mentor a team of Senior Project Managers reporting through you.

You will also play an active role in the pursuit of new business - leading interview presentations, reviewing RFP responses, and leveraging your network to generate repeat and new client opportunities in the healthcare and institutional sectors.

Requirements

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with a demonstrable record of delivering complex healthcare or institutional projects $100M+
• Prior experience as a Project Executive or Senior PM with multi-project oversight responsibility
• Deep understanding of CM at-risk and integrated project delivery contractual structures
• Strong executive presence and client relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Procore; familiarity with Lean construction and Target Value Design methodologies a plus
