Job summary

Value Added Distributors, LLC in Chambersburg, PA, seeks a full-time Project Estimator – Sales Rep to join our hydraulic components team. You will work with the quoting team, sales, and customer service to price projects, review blueprints, and craft accurate cost estimates in a fast-paced environment.

Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm, $17 per hour, a robust benefits package including dental, vision, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Epicor estimating software.
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with quoting, sales and customer service to evaluate costs and risks.
• Review blueprints and project specs to calculate material, labor and equipment costs.
• Obtain vendor quotes, update price lists and set up parts and kits.
• Prepare detailed proposals and estimates for clients and senior management.

At Value Added Distributors, we're seeking a full-time Project Estimator - Sales Rep to join our expert team in Chambersburg, PA. You'll be part of a company with a 25-year legacy of innovation and outstanding service in the hydraulic components industry. As our new Estimator, you'll enjoy a competitive wage of $17 per hour, a Monday-through-Friday daytime schedule, and a robust benefits package. This includes:

You will work a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at our Chambersburg location.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR PROJECT ESTIMATOR - SALES REP

As a Project Estimator - Sales Rep, you will collaborate closely with the quoting team, sales, and customer service to evaluate project costs and potential risks, ensuring accurate timelines and budgets for clients. You will review customer blueprints and project specifications, analyze requirements, and use your mathematical skills to calculate costs for materials, labor, and equipment. You will obtain quotes from vendors, update customer price lists, and set up parts and kits. Throughout the project, you will monitor expenses, assess risks-including health and safety requirements-and adjust estimates as needed to address changes in materials, equipment, or project scope. You will prepare detailed proposals and estimates for clients and senior management, all while ensuring that every detail is accounted for in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your work environment will range from climate-controlled office spaces to manufacturing areas that may require personal protective equipment.

Here’s what we need from you as a Project Estimator - Sales Rep:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn estimating software such as Epicor
• Ability to type 35+ words per minute
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Mathematical aptitude for calculations and financial analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in estimating, project management, or industrial manufacturing projects (preferred)
• Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis (preferred)
