Job summary

PFlow Industries in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Jr. Estimator to support accurate project quotes for VRC projects. You’ll partner with experienced estimators, engineering teams, and suppliers to analyze requirements, build cost estimates, and prepare competitive proposals.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
  • 0–2+ years of experience in construction estimation.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic estimating tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and project quotes for VRC projects by evaluating requirements, materials, labor and other cost factors.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, and BIM to define scope and risks.
  • Solicit, track, and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing for competitive quotes.
  • Support bid preparation by maintaining estimate data, processing revisions, and responding to clarifications.
  • Assist with cost comparisons, value engineering, budget updates, and improving estimating accuracy.
  • Maintain organized estimating records and collaborate with project teams through post-bid reviews.
  • Participate in ESOP contributions and other employee-owned company culture initiatives.

As a Jr. Estimator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development of accurate project quotes that help drive business growth and project success. In this role, you'll partner with experienced estimators, engineering teams, and suppliers to analyze project requirements, develop cost estimates, and prepare competitive proposals for VRC projects. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and project quotes for VRC projects by evaluating project requirements, materials, labor, and other cost factors.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, and BIM models to define project scope, identify risks, and support estimate development.
  • Solicit, track, and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate quotations.
  • Support bid preparation by maintaining estimate data, compiling documentation, processing revisions, and responding to clarification requests.
  • Assist with cost comparisons, value engineering initiatives, budget updates, and other activities that improve project value and estimating accuracy.
  • Maintain organized estimating records and collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, senior estimators, and field personnel throughout the quoting process, including participation in post-bid reviews and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–2+ years of experience in construction estimation.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic estimating tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
