Job summary

KAI Build, LLC is seeking a Project Estimator to support the Preconstruction Team in producing preliminary budgets, milestone estimates, and final bid pricing for commercial and institutional projects.

The role requires analyzing drawings, obtaining subcontractor bids, and inputting data into estimating software to develop accurate cost proposals. Collaboration with team members and suppliers is essential to ensure competitive, complete bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction Eng, CM, or similar field.
• 1–7 years related estimating experience.
• Timber experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and understand scope to bid.
• Execute take-offs of construction documents.
• Input take-offs into estimating software.
• Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
• Prepare cost analysis of material, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Develop estimates when standards are unavailable.
