Powerwell, a manufacturer of fiberglass storage tanks and piping systems, seeks a Project Estimator & Project Management Support for its Victoria, Texas site. You will support Sales and Project Management, develop estimates, prepare bid packages, and maintain documentation from quotation through completion.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling technical project information.

We are recruiting for a Project Estimator & Project Management Support professional for our client, an established manufacturer of custom fiberglass storage tanks, piping systems, and related field services serving customers across a variety of industrial markets. This is a full-time, onsite position in Victoria, Texas.

Job Summary

The Project Estimator & Project Management Support professional will support the Sales and Project Management teams throughout the estimating and project execution process. This individual will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, developing accurate estimates and bid packages, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating day-to-day activities across multiple departments.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technical project information while supporting projects from the initial quotation stage through completion.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, requests for quotation (RFQs), and other bid documentation to understand project requirements.
• Prepare accurate material and equipment takeoffs while identifying potential exceptions, clarifications, or additional information needed.
• Develop project estimates using the company's estimating system, including:
• Shop labor requirements
• Material costs
• Third-party/vendor costs
• Equipment costs
• Project schedules
• Total fabricated equipment costs
• Alternative pricing options
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and other internal departments to validate estimating assumptions and ensure timely, accurate proposals.
• Assist with the continued improvement of estimating processes, pricing models, and estimating practices.
• Develop knowledge of applicable industry specifications, fabrication processes, and fiberglass manufacturing methods.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including bid packages, submittals, quality assurance documentation, photographs, and other project-specific records.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to support projects from award through final completion.
• Assist Sales and Project Management with evaluating and documenting potential project change orders.
• Compile, organize, and upload required project documents into customer‑specific online portals.
• Support pre‑production cost reviews and labor‑hour analysis.
• Assist with accounts receivable follow‑up, shipping coordination, and other project administration responsibilities.
• Help Project Managers maintain organized project records and stay ahead of project requirements, deadlines, and customer deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting industrial estimating, construction, sales, manufacturing, or project management activities.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work within established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Management, and other internal teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF software, and web‑based business systems.
• Experience working with CRM or project management platforms; experience with systems such as Quickbase or Salesforce is beneficial.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• Previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Project estimating
• Construction project management
• Industrial manufacturing
• Sales engineering
• Business or sales support
• Accounting or cost analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience preparing estimates or proposals from technical drawings, specifications, or RFQs.

Compensation

• $50,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
• Bonus opportunities.
