Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems, Inc. seeks a Project Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for material handling and automation projects. You will work with Sales, Applications Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and suppliers to validate costs and deliver pricing packages.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced with technical project environments, including conveyors, robotics, and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of estimating, engineering support, project coordination, procurement, construction or related technical experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing drawings, project specs, equipment selections, or vendor quotations preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Operations, or Project Management teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for material handling, warehouse automation, and integrated systems projects.
• Review customer requirements, layouts, drawings, equipment selections, and scope documentation.
• Estimate equipment, labor, engineering, software, installation, freight, travel, and subcontractor costs.
• Create and maintain internal costing models, tools, pricing databases, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Applications Engineering to develop customer-facing proposals.
• Support project handoffs to Operations, Engineering, and Project Management.
