Confidential Employer. is seeking a Project Estimator for on-site opportunities in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and competitive bids for diverse commercial construction projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of estimating experience, with 7+ years preferred, and will collaborate with PMs, owners, architects, and trade partners to deliver cost-effective solutions.

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and subcontractor bid comparisons.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, drawings, specs, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office; Destiny / Beck Technology is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, materials, labor, and project requirements.
• Develop accurate budgets, project schedules, and competitive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and design teams throughout preconstruction.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, negotiate pricing, and develop procurement strategies.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with trade partners while helping deliver successful commercial construction projects.
