Job summary

Moss & Associates, a national construction firm with a Fort Lauderdale footprint, is seeking an estimator to support bid development and price analyses. You will perform quantity takeoffs, draft RFIs, and coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate, timely bid packages.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and up to 3 years in estimating or project management, with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset aligned to Moss’s entrepreneurial culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and up to 3 years of estimating or project management experience.
• Fundamental understanding of construction drawings, takeoffs, and bid preparation processes.
• Ability to draft clear RFIs and maintain accurate project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety considerations are integrated into estimates and site plans.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and verify against drawings and bid strategy.
• Draft RFIs and ensure alignment with supervisors.
• Organize project documents and maintain bid-related records.
• Collect and analyze vendor data for pricing accuracy and risk reduction.
• Support pricing reviews and bid philosophy discussions with Leads.
• Coordinate with vendors/subs for pricing and schedule responses.
