• 2+ years of estimating experience in construction, preferably healthcare.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans to develop detailed, accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and facilitate subcontractor bid solicitation.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.

They specialize in healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI) and DSA school construction projects, with a strong reputation across healthcare, education, life sciences, retail, industrial, and public works sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed, accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and conceptual budgets from minimal documentation.
• Facilitate subcontractor and supplier bid solicitation and scope alignment.
• Set up projects in BuildingConnected and create comprehensive bid packages.
• Identify constructability challenges and suggest value engineering options.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
• Support preconstruction efforts and participate in project pursuit presentations as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, preferably healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI) and/or education (DSA schools).
• Current or prior experience working with a General Contractor (GC) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans/specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam or Adobe.
• Highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
