  • Reverse-plan complex rigging and millwright activities to establish realistic manpower, durations, and equipment needs
  • Build contingencies into estimates for risk, technical challenges, and schedule pressures
  • Solicit pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers; evaluate and incorporate into estimates
  • Prepare detailed proposals and cost breakdowns aligned with PSC standards
  • Maintain organized estimate files, revisions, assumptions, notes, and supporting documentation
  • Assist Sales and Project Management with cost updates, budget forecasts, and value-engineering options
  • Serve as a key technical resource for Sales/Business Development during client conversations
  • Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and job walks to clarify scope and gather cost-critical details
  • Provide timely, complete estimates that strengthen client confidence and improve PSC’s win rate
  • Communicate scope, assumptions, and constraints clearly to internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate Internally Across PSC
  • Work closely with Project Managers on handoffs, budgets, and scope alignment
  • Collaborate with Operations/Dispatch on manpower, equipment planning, and schedule feasibility
  • Partner with Finance to support forecasting, cost tracking, and review of estimate performance
  • Keep senior management informed of major opportunities, risks, and high-value bids
What You Bring

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including technical writing)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strategic problem-solver with the ability to think ahead and anticipate challenges
  • Strong planning, reverse‑planning, scheduling, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, bids, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing scopes, schedules, and customer needs
  • Effective at building relationships and negotiating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ability to work effectively with leadership, peers, field teams, and client stakeholders

  • Experience reading and interpreting technical plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience developing and tracking project budgets and/or estimates
