Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing in Lincoln is seeking an Engineer to create or modify equipment designs to boost efficiency, performance, and reliability while considering cost and manufacturing constraints. You will drive equipment improvements and lead cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

  • Four year Engineer degree (ME or EE) or equivalent experience.
  • 0-6 years of engineering experience based on education.
  • Has experience with identifying and solving Equipment issues/ CBU issues in a timely fashion.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Vehicle Quality Equipment Knowledge.
  • Data analysis and countermeasure activity.
  • Prior CMMS System Experience.

  • Conduct virtual builds for VQ and carry out NMV equipment checks during the development of new models.
  • Lead diagnosis of VQ equipment issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective countermeasures.
  • Examine and interpret data to recognize patterns and enhance equipment performance.
  • Manage NM projects and associated design modifications to ensure equipment production capacity is sustained.
  • Communicate with colleagues, ESA's, management, and other departments to provide updates on equipment status, identify maintenance requirements, and resolve production issues.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions, conduct preventative maintenance, and supervise repair processes to minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensure that equipment complies with safety and company quality standards.
  • Manage equipment-related investment projects for VQ, including development, design, specification, and installation.
  • Assist the VQ EE Planner as needed.
  • Flexible shift schedule (2nd shift support as needed).

Job Purpose
