Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist to join our Ohio team in Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus. You'll conduct wetland delineations, habitat surveys, and restoration monitoring across Ohio, collaborating with cross‑functional teams on land development, energy, and remediation projects.

Responsibilities include preparing permit packages for federal and state agencies, coordinating field crews, and traveling to remote sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in biology, wildlife, botany, ecology or environmental science.
• 6+ years of related biological experience in the Ohio region.
• Experience with NEPA, USACE or similar regulatory processes.
• PWS or WPIT certification preferred.
• Experience with federal/state protected species and permitting.
• Proficiency with GPS devices and ArcGIS is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform wetland delineations and field assessments.
• Conduct nesting bird surveys and habitat assessments.
• Develop permit packages for Federal, State and local agencies.
• Coordinate with field teams and project managers to implement permits.
• Travel to job sites, including remote locations, and work in construction environments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
