Job summary

Spire, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager I, Project Engineering to manage enterprise-wide cross-functional projects, applying governance and PM/Change Management techniques. The role emphasizes value creation, risk management, and stakeholder communication across teams and contractors.

The candidate will work closely with the Project Engineer during design and lead project teams through contract award, reporting on financials and schedules, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in an analytical field (i.e. Engineering, Science, Business, IT) is required.
• Project Management Professional or other recognized project management curriculum (such as PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP), preferred.
• Change management certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a range of projects with varying timelines, cross functionality, requirements and scope.
• Analyze problems, identify issues, summarize findings and collaborate with the project teams, always with a value-added mindset.
• Assist in implementing change management tools and techniques in a flexible manner to optimize project results.
• Analyze design construction schedule for modifications and update the schedule throughout the project duration.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and ancillary projects.
• Coordinate project progress meetings to identify action items and provide tracking status for outstanding action items.
• Lead project team members and contractors, influencing all participants to take positive action.
