Job summary

Ingredion in Indianapolis is seeking a motivated Project Engineering Intern for a hands-on learning experience. You will work with engineers and project managers on real-world projects, gaining exposure to planning, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. On-site internship with housing stipends and a comprehensive rewards program.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineering Intern to join our team for a hands-on learning experience. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on real-world projects, gaining exposure to engineering processes, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration!

What you will do:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects under the guidance of senior staff.
• Support the development of project documentation including schedules, budgets, and technical reports.
• Participate in design reviews, process improvement initiatives, and technical evaluations.
• Conduct research and analysis to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.

What you will bring:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
