Ingredion Incorporated in Indianapolis is seeking a motivated Project Engineering Intern for hands-on learning. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers on real-world projects, gaining exposure to engineering processes, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will assist with planning, documentation, and evaluations while developing technical and communication skills in a dynamic food & beverage environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAD familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects under guidance of senior staff.
• Support development of project documentation including schedules, budgets, and technical reports.
• Participate in design reviews, process improvement initiatives, and technical evaluations.
• Conduct research and analysis to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Help monitor project progress and identify risks or delays.
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineering Intern to join our team for a hands-on learning experience. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on real-world projects, gaining exposure to engineering processes, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration!

What you will do:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects under the guidance of senior staff.

What you will bring:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.

Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
