Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and contract cost estimates.
• Devises alternative approaches and solutions to problems.
• Plan, design, estimate, contract, manage projects through construction and delivery phases for water/wastewater systems.
• Engage in master planning, evaluation, rehabilitation, and expansion of facilities.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure technical, quality, cost, and client requirements are met.
• Coordinate with outside sub-consultants.
• Prepare reports communicating project information to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Handle multiple projects and work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain regular attendance at WGA Houston office.
• Serve as prime contact and manage client relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates and require an understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination.
• Devises alternative approaches and solutions to problems.
• Engineering planning, analysis, design, estimating, contracting, project management, construction, and delivery phases for:
  • Treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, odor control systems, water wells and other utility water systems
• Municipal and facility master planning, evaluation, rehabilitation, and expansion.
• Building and maintaining relationships between project teams and collaborating to ensure that technical, quality, cost and client requirements are implemented.
• Coordinating with outside sub-consultants.
• Preparing a range of reports to communicate project information to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Works closely with project team.
• Mentoring junior staff.
• The candidate must have experience in handling multiple simultaneous projects, and a desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance at WGA Houston office.
• Able to be prime contact and manage relationships with clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience, with tools such as: AutoCAD, technical writing, technical presenting, water & wastewater conveyance or treatment design experience (i.e. pump stations, lift stations, wastewater treatment plants, water line, sewer line).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration or ability to become one within 6 months of hire date.
