Job summary

Hydro is seeking a Project Engineer in Durham, NC to drive project planning, coordination, and execution across all phases. You’ll ensure engineering standards, safety protocols, and client specs are met while delivering high-quality systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3–7 years of project engineering experience with CAD proficiency. On-site work with potential across industrial projects is expected, with benefits including 401(k) matching and PTO.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical).
3–7 years of project engineering experience in industrial or process equipment.
Proficiency with CAD and engineering documentation tools.

Responsibilities

Develop drawings, specifications, and BOMs in line with company engineering standards.
Serve as the technical go-to for Project Managers and Production, resolving questions and supporting field issues.
Verify manufacturability and catch constructability issues before they become problems.
Keep documentation airtight — updated drawings, controlled revisions, and clean turnover packages.
Champion continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and refining standards across projects.
