Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction LLC seeks a Project Engineer to support the project team in all construction activities. Responsibilities include quantity verification, payment reconciliation, RFI/submittal handling, material delivery coordination, and schedule reviews. Some extended hours will be required as projects progress.

The role emphasizes learning daily site operations, with opportunities to work with diverse teams and contribute to safety and quality plans across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Water/wastewater construction experience preferred.
  • Travel and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong team dynamic and positive work environment.

  • Manage project safety plans in addition to corporate safety plan.
  • Create and manage change orders.
  • Ensure quality and workmanship per contract specifications.
  • Assist with ordering materials and quantity management.
  • Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors for timely progress.
  • Create and process submittals, submittal logs, RFIs, and delivery logs.

Job description

The Project Engineer will assist the project team with overall responsibility for all aspects of the construction project. The primary functions of this role include quantity verification and payment reconciliation, RFI and submittal correspondence, material delivery coordination, work plan creation and review, and schedule reviews and updates. The Project Engineer will be required to dedicate a significant amount of time to learning the day-to-day operations and processes associated with project sites; oftentimes this will require extended work hours beyond a standard work week. This role requires a strong sense of self-motivation, ability to work in a dynamic work environment and a passion for working with others to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities
  • Help develop a strong team dynamic and positive work environment.
  • Assist with task and work plan meetings.
  • Responsible for providing insight and feedback for the financial performance of the project(s).
  • Manage project specific safety plan in addition to corporate safety plan.
  • Change order management creation.
  • Adhere to quality and workmanship standards per contract specifications.
  • Assist superintendents and crews with material ordering and quantity management.
  • Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors for timely progression of work activities.
  • Create and process: submittals and submittal logs, RFI's material delivery log, etc.
Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of construction methods and materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • One to two years of work experience in the Water/waste water construction industry is preferred.
  • Travel when required (Dependent on jobsite location and project)
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
