Job summary

The Thrasher Group in Charleston, WV is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will design, analyze, and plan water resource projects for residential and commercial developments, collaborating with a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include producing technical drawings for permitting, supporting construction activities, and developing accurate cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EI/EIT certification desired but not required.
• 0–4 years of related water/wastewater experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate within a team.
• Periodic day travel required.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our Charleston, WV Water Resources team. In this role, you will apply your engineering knowledge to help design residential and commercial water resources projects, working alongside a team of driven professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required

Certification: EI/EIT certification desired but not required

Experience: 0–4 years of related water/wastewater experience

Software: Microsoft Office proficiency required; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a plus

Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Travel: Periodic day travel required
