Job summary

Piab Group in Hickory, NC is seeking a Project Engineer to bridge between customers, robotic integrators, and our engineering teams to design and quote vacuum gripping and end-of-arm-tooling for industrial robots.

You will manage projects from inception to delivery, analyze client needs, develop offers, and coordinate with Joulin's Engineering to ensure on-time performance. This role requires travel to global destinations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering – mechanical or electrical or related field.
• 2 years of experience in processing, material handling, and packaging equipment sales.
• Knowledge in Vacuum handling systems is a plus.
• Wood industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing with a positive customer experience.
• Study projects and provide offers with formal quotes and CRM/ERP.
• Understand customer needs and provide adequate solutions.
• Test and search for best technical and commercial solutions.
• Promote vacuum products within the market.
• Develop channel partners for growth.
• Provide technical support for company products.
• Coordinate with Joulin’s Engineering for quotes and systems.
• Validate product and final performance (QC) of projects.
• Transfer pertinent project information to the Design Engineer.
