About The Job

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Project Engineer - Structural to perform structural engineering design tasks such as load determinations, code research, structural design calculations, and drafting in CAD and Revit, under the supervision of a licensed PE. Responsibilities include assisting in developing construction documents and coordinating construction administration tasks, including field measurements, calculations, and drafting.

This role is intended for May 2025 college graduates who majored in an applicable field. As Tepa continues to grow, we are focusing on hiring recent graduates to begin their careers with opportunities for hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within the company. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous experience but does require completed education in the discipline.

Job Functions
  • Produce plans, reports, and assist with specifications
  • Assist in developing drafting and project standards
  • Assist in preparation of inspection reports
  • Perform quality control and assurance
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations for design of structures and retaining walls
  • Perform structural drafting
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • 0-4 years of experience or internship
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, with ability to obtain PE within five years
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Military experience; preferred
  • Design experience in government markets; preferred
  • Knowledge of Building Codes (IBC) and UFC for DoD; preferred
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience; preferred
