Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer – Structural to join our team. You will conduct structural analysis and design across commercial, educational, hospital and other projects, ensuring code compliance and collaborating with architects and interdisciplinary teams.

You’ll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to seismic retrofitting and bridge design tasks. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with a Structural focus and 4–7 years of experience, strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering is required.
• MS or M.Eng Degree with Structural emphasis preferred.
• 4–7 years of structural engineering experience.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to delivering exceptional work.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects.
• Generate detailed structural plans and specifications.
• Perform site visits and structural observations.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and architects.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Contribute to the assessment and enhancement of existing structures.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and staff.
